Free Proxy List

ProxyScrape's free proxy list contains thousands of public HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies from 180+ countries, refreshed every minute and verified by automated checkers. Filter by protocol, anonymity, country, or latency, and export the list as TXT, JSON, or CSV — directly in the table, via the free public API, or from the GitHub repo.

About

How Do Free Proxies Work?

We provide a continuously updated list of open proxies, aggregated from thousands of sources across the web. Our automated system ensures high reliability through a rigorous verification process:

The ProxyScrape free proxy list is a public dataset of HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies aggregated from open sources worldwide. The list typically holds 20,000+ live proxies across 180+ countries at any time. Each proxy is rechecked every minute, tagged with its anonymity level (elite, anonymous, or transparent), country code, and response latency, and removed from the list as soon as it stops responding within the 15-second timeout. The full dataset is available as a downloadable TXT, JSON, or CSV file, as a free public API at api.proxyscrape.com/v4/free-proxy-list/get, and as a GitHub repository at github.com/proxyscrape/free-proxy-list.

24/7 Monitoring: We scrape and test thousands of proxies around the clock.

Real-Time Accuracy: Every proxy is checked multiple times per minute; dead links are removed immediately.

High Performance: Utilizing nine dedicated checkers and three scrapers to deliver the freshest data available.

FAQ

FAQ'S

A proxy may add an extra layer of protection but this still doesn't mean you're 100% safe. The proxies we provide are public proxies, this means the proxy may be infected.

Yes you can use a proxy scraper to download the proxy list. We recommend using the free public API or the GitHub repository instead of scraping the HTML page. The API is documented at https://docs.proxyscrape.com/ and the GitHub mirror lives at https://github.com/proxyscrape/free-proxy-list (updated every 5 minutes). See API documentation and GitHub repository.

These proxies are public and you can use them for anything you want but some of the proxies can be banned on the services you want to use.

The proxy list updates every minute. The GitHub mirror at https://github.com/proxyscrape/free-proxy-list refreshes every 5 minutes.

HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5. You can filter by protocol on the page, in the API (with the protocol query parameter), or by pulling protocol-specific files from the GitHub repository (proxies/protocols/http, https, socks4, socks5).

We don't know how much bandwidth the free proxies have. If their limits are exceeded, they will probably stop working.

No, these are public proxies hosted by volunteers on the internet and they come online and go offline constantly.

The timeout is how long the proxy took to respond to a request. We set our maximum timeout to 15 seconds for the free proxy list.

Call https://api.proxyscrape.com/v4/free-proxy-list/get?request=display_proxies&proxy_format=protocolipport&format=text to get a plain-text list of all working proxies. Swap format=json or format=csv for structured output. Filter with protocol, country, anonymity, and timeout query parameters. See API reference.

Yes. We sell datacenter proxies on our premium plan (very fast and 24/7 online) and residential proxies (millions of IPs daily). See premium plan and residential proxies.
